The Valentine reveal

I promised that I would reveal the whole picture of the gifts I made for my girls.  Well most of my girls, my daughter-in-law lives in Singapore so she will have to wait till Sarah comes to visit. (Wishing it was me taking it to her...)

I really did have fun making gifts, it is something I have always wanted to do.  So here goes.

The peek-a-boo

This bag is for Sarah, Mom of Sophia, and my oldest.

The bag was supposed to have one of each of the top fabrics on the side.  I had gotten half finished when I realized that was not going to be the case, oh well.  This is an Indigo Junction, Bella Bag, the small one, and it is plenty big.

Next up:

the peek-a-boo

This is for Alissa, the youngest, she is moving :-(  to Seattle, WA in the summer, thought this would fit the vibe of the west coast!!

The pattern is from Indigo Junction as well, this one is called Lunch Bunch.  This is the first time I have worked with PUL, a waterproof fabric that makes the bags food safe and machine washable.

Next:

These mittens were for Rachel, the middle daughter, who saw some at a craft fair and wanted them but not at the price the person was selling them at.  I found 4 sweaters that were 100% wool at Good will a few weeks ago, and some leftover fleece.  They were really easy to make and are very warm, just too bad we are having a mild winter.

Next the Grandgirls

Peek-a-boo

This is a doll/bear carrier from the book from Oliver and S, Little things to Sew.

Next:

peek-a-boo

Little Miss Cora,  I had the Onesie and appliqued the hearts and had just enough of the fabric to make this twirl skirt (my own design),  doesn't she look cute!!

Well there you have it.  Next week it is back to Organizing!!  I need to finish the kitchen and move on to my sewing room and my closet, oh and I am painting the bathroom too...busy!
Have a great weekend!

Cindy
