Our Story:
Bumblebee and Sophie is a children’s clothing and accessory company that provides unique designs in playful fabrics for baby girls and boys ages three months to three years. We are also branching out into sewing room accessories.
I am Cindy, a wife, Mom, Grandmom. I love to sew and create.
It all started with crib bedding, before my granddaughter Sophia was born, and quickly developed into knit sweaters and little dresses, once she arrived.
Dissatisfied with the "typical" baby bedding in the stores, Sarah (my daughter) asked me, to create a custom crib bedding set for Sophia. The result was a beautiful, eye-catching combination of playful fabrics. From there with inspiration and help from Sarah we (Sarah was a big part in the beginning) were inspired to create clothing that featured similar bold and fresh fabrics. In the beginning we decided to combine our areas of expertise (Cindy and award winning quilter and Sarah a former small business owner) to create a beautiful, boutique line of little girls clothing. The result: Bumblebee & Sophie

The Name:
The "Sophie" of Bumblebee & Sophie, is the obvious part: named for Sarah's daughter Sophia. "Bumblebee" is the nickname Sarah's husband Mark, gave to her burgeoning belly when she was pregnant with Sophia. And so Bumblebee & Sophie was born...literally.
